About the role
In this role, you will focus on identifying new business opportunities, growing export accounts, and building strong long-term relationships with international customers. You will bring energy, initiative, and a genuine passion for sales, along with the communication and relationship-building skills needed to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to senior leadership, the Export Sales Specialist will play an important role in supporting export sales activity and driving sustainable customer growth across international markets.
You will manage key customer relationships, pursue new sales opportunities, prepare quotations and proposals, and work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and high service standards for export customers.
This role is based at our Ormeau office and works closely with internal stakeholders, overseas offices, freight forwarders, regulatory authorities, and international customers to support sales growth and customer satisfaction.
The role carries responsibility for sales performance, account development, market growth, and identifying opportunities to expand product penetration and profitability.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in export sales, foodservice, FMCG, or meat industry sales
- Strong business development and account management capability
- Demonstrated success in growing sales, building customer relationships, and achieving targets
- Commercial confidence with strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Sound understanding of export documentation, compliance, and international trade requirements
- Experience coordinating with internal teams, logistics providers, and international customers
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
- A proactive, hands-on, and solutions-focused approach
- Strong computer systems and reporting skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, International Trade, or a related discipline will be highly regarded
